Well-trained minds bring happiness
Lord Buddha said, “Jittang tantang sukha wa hang, ” a well-trained mind brings happiness. No happiness is equated to serenity. When one trains his mind well, he shall secure a rare, delightful and genuine anchorage; on which he can depend. When he leaves this world, he will have a delightful haven as his destination.
Let’s learn how to train our minds in accordance with the Four Foundations of Mindfulness and the Noble Eightfold path. It can be done by all believers of other religions. Muslims, worshippers of Allah, can observe the mind at its base. Christians, who worship God, can also observe the mind at its base; and Buddhists, followers of Lord Buddha, can do the same, because the mind exists in all beings.
