Translated by Nawaparn Mercado

When you regularly practice mindfulness, you will    experience Dharma phenomenon. Sometimes you may feel tingling all over your body, or your body may seem lighter like it is floating up.  Your eyes may  become teary, your body may sway back and forth, or you may feel itchy like ants crawling all over your body, or your body becomes stiff like a stone,  your breath seems to leave you, your body seems to disappear,  you may have an out-of-body experience, whatever the case may be.

Sometimes, when you monitor your mind, you may feel that your mind dips deeper, like you are in a trance; when you lie in bed, you may feel like you cannot sleep, it is because your mind is awake. Just realize that your feelings are fused to tranquility. Your mind dips in deeper but you are conscious, even when you are in your trance.

Moreover, when we regularly practice mindfulness, whenever temptations occur, the inner consciousness will eliminate such temptations, like a thermostat that  automatically cuts off power. When temptations are eliminated, your body will sway back and forth. To outsiders, it looks like you are sleepy and nodding off, but in fact, your inner mind is awake.

All symptoms that make you feel tight at your chest, or dizzy or sick in your stomach, or flashes of hot and cold, or muscle-ache that seems to go as deep as it is in your bone, or feelings like being stabbed in the chest, or a sharp pain in your heart like it is ripped off; you must stay calm and radiate loving compassion saying, “May they be happy.”

All said symptoms may occur while practicing. They are the way to pay back all karma with your inner Dharma Phenomenon.  People who never practice this, but are absorbed in their work for a long time, their minds and moods may be relaxed.

When the inner mind is calm; one may experience rapid heartbeats, feel flashes all over his body, or feel fainted for a moment, or the center of their chest may hurt. Some may go to consult their doctors thinking they may experience a heart attack, but taking pills do not alleviate the symptoms; it is because the symptoms are Natural Dharma Phenomenon.
